A resouding victory from Real Madrid has been long awaited. That it happened on wednesday against Rosenborg (4 -1) is something that its fans will cheer about. A victory of big margin has been eluding Real for the last couple of seasons, given the line up of stars in the team. A even better reason for cheer was that the victory was a comeback from a Goal down during half time.

While the defense of Real has been the most blamed for the losses , i personally believe that its the inability of the midfield to control the game that has put them in the current position.Imagine a team with a midfield including Zidane, Beckham , Figo ( until last season) and a forward with the names of Ronaldo, Raul, Robinho and Bapista ending up in a losing side that too against less talented teams.In cricket terms thats like having a team with players like Sachin, Lara, Steve waugh, ponting, Mcgrath and losing to Zimbabwe.

The first match of the UEFA CL season began rather badly for Real with a loss against Lyon, and i believed it was going to be another repeat of 2004 season, but the recent victory has given much hope and cheer and hope. There's a long way still left to go, and it depends on how well the midfield is going to play that will decide if Real goes on to win the Cup.
